Those who knew Kylan remembered him for the warmth and light he brought into the lives of others. His gentle spirit, infectious personality and openness toward people made him someone who could quickly turn a stranger into a friend. Remembering Kylan Matthew Kylan had a deep love for the outdoors and found some of his greatest happiness in nature. He enjoyed snowboarding, fishing and swimming in the river, embracing opportunities to spend time outside and experience the activities he loved. His adventures were often accompanied by a faithful dog, which was frequently by his side as he explored and enjoyed the outdoors. For Kylan, the outdoors was more than simply a place to spend time. It was part of the way he experienced life, creating memories through adventure, friendship and peaceful moments surrounded by nature. He was described as someone who never met a stranger and could easily begin a meaningful conversation with virtually anyone he encountered. Those closest to him will also remember his unforgettable smile — a bright, mischievous and welcoming expression that reflected his personality. His family noted that Kylan proudly shared that smile with his great-grandfather, Roy “Red” Lewis, creating a family connection that will remain a cherished memory. He was also preceded in death by his great-grandparents Lois and Roy Lewis of DeBorgia, Montana, and Frederick Sr. and Charlotte Fuechsel of Kellogg, Idaho.
