CALEDONIA, OHIO — Cameron M. Lyon, a 23-year-old man from Caledonia, Ohio, died after a serious two-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 33 in Fairfield County on Sunday evening, September 6, 2026.

The fatal accident happened at approximately 6:15 p.m. near the U.S. Route 22 interchange in Hocking Township, according to preliminary information from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Lyon was driving a 2025 Chevrolet Trax westbound on U.S. 33 when it was struck by a 2016 GMC Terrain traveling eastbound. Investigators said the GMC left the right side of the roadway, the driver overcorrected, and the vehicle crossed the roadway before overturning into the westbound lanes.

The GMC then collided with Lyon’s Chevrolet. The GMC Terrain caught fire following the crash.
