Investigators said Perciful was in the roadway and was wearing dark clothing when he was struck by a 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander traveling toward West Carthage. The SUV was operated by 53-year-old Jeramie Palladino of Carthage. Perciful was pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.
