The fatal crash occurred at approximately 8:02 p.m. on September 4.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol investigation, Tyler Weaver, 30, of Cardington, was traveling southwest on U.S. Route 42 on a 2000 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide. Amanda Pickens was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle.

At the same time, William Stover, 47, of Wheelersburg, was traveling eastbound on County Road 25 in a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu.

Investigators said the Chevrolet failed to yield at the stop sign at the intersection of County Road 25 and U.S. Route 42. The motorcycle subsequently collided with the vehicle.

Pickens was pronounced dead at the scene by Morrow County EMS.

Weaver was injured and transported to Morrow County Hospital for treatment.

Authorities said neither occupant of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
