MOUNT DRUITT, SYDNEY — A 21-year-old man has died after being struck by a garbage truck in Mount Druitt, western Sydney, in the early hours of Thursday, September 10, 2026.

Emergency services were called to a restaurant on Luxford Road at about 2:20 a.m. following reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a garbage truck.

Paramedics attempted to treat the young man at the scene, but he died from his injuries.
